The final season of the Highlands journey provides your child with an array of pathways for their future, encouraging them with a passion to contribute into a shifting, global society full of purpose.
Your child will study a more specialised course of subjects, their choice of subjects being based on their intended educational and career pursuits at a post-secondary level. Our dedicated staff will assist and support your child as they navigate the multi-faceted choices that are available. We pride ourselves in offering a range of pathways for each young person, whether it be directly into the workforce, beginning an apprenticeship or tertiary placement.
Our hope is that you child will leave our College with more than just knowledge or information – but with a sense of Kingdom-mindedness and the skills and abilities to critically think, innovate and create. Our College desires to develop leaders who will not simply be a part of this world but will rise up to influence all areas of life; business, arts, politics, medicine and science.
It’s important to us as a College that as we partner with you your child will become well equipped as they journey into the world outside of school. The graduates of Highlands Christian College are confident and highly resilient adults.

CAREERS
With a myriad of pathway options available to your child upon graduation we will guide your child, with our on-site Careers Counsellor as they discover and refine the choices that are best suited to them, their passion and giftings.
PASTORAL CARE
Your child’s emotional and mental wellbeing is one of our main priorities, and our unique Pastoral Care will ensure that your child will be seen and supported. Your child will have the opportunity to participate in numerous events throughout the year which are developed specifically to encourage connectivity, resilience and generosity.
SUBJECTS
We offer specialised subjects based on QCAA syllabuses which will provide them with an ATAR, as well as opportunities with Headstart Learning, traineeships and apprenticeships. Your child will workshop with Australia’s #1 study skills provider, to develop their study techniques, build confidence and lift exam performance.
STUDENT LEADERSHIP
Following on from the Rite Journey in Years 9 – 10, your child will continue to develop leadership skills through a number of activities and programs in the Senior Years. Your child will be involved in camps, conferences and workshops delivered by both College staff and guest speakers.
